    Sasha Ayad is a Licensed Professional Counselor who works in private practice with teens and young adults. She promotes and provides developmentally appropriate, individualized treatments for concerns related to gender identity and gender dysphoria. Sasha also conducts consults for families who have children presenting with adolescent-onset gender dysphoria.

    Sasha earned her B.S. in Psychology and Masters of Education in Counseling Psychology from the University of Houston. She has worked with adolescents for over 10 years. Through applied behavioral therapy, she served populations with autism spectrum conditions. In the field of domestic and sexual violence, she worked as an individual and group therapist with women and children. She also developed and ran the first counseling program at a state-supported residential facility for adults with intellectual disabilities and concurrent mental illness. In more recent years, Sasha worked as a middle school counselor for underserved populations at a large charter school system in Houston. She has been in private practice since 2016.
